On March, 17 the visitors of St.Stephen's School-Auditorium will have a chance to meet Jacob Burckhardt, a cult personality of the art world. Among the works directed and produced by Burckhardt are "It Don't Pay To Be An Honest Citizen", "Landlord Blues", "The Frankie Lymons Nephew Story", "Freedom Ho, Or Harriet Tubman's Tale" and "Louis The Fourteenth Street". In Rome the director will present his latest work made in 2007. Titled "The Surface", this is a meditation on wind, water, trees and snow. There's also a love line, telling about the feeling found and lost. The soundtrack is also worth a separate mentioning. Mixed live, it features rare recordings by such musicians as the pianist Norman Fontleroy, pianist Neal Kirkwood, Marc Ribot, Alvin Curran, members of Project Zlust, and others.
