Tan Li Hua. The Gran Concerto

The Roman CinaviCina Festival comes to an end, but still you can visit one important event within the festival - the concert of symphonic music performed by the Orchestra di Roma e del Lazio and conducted by Maestro Tan Lihua, Musical Director and Executive Director of the Beijing Symphony Orchestra - an internationally-recognised conductor who has done much to familiarize the audience with contemporary Chinese music.

The pieces performed are the creation by three significant eastern composers: He Xuntian, Guo Wenjing, and Wang Xi-Lin. The soloists of the event are also worth mentioning. Those are the talented erhu-player (erhu is the so-called Chinese violin) Chen Chunyan, and the expressive and skillful young flutist Tang Junqiao. Don't miss the concert June 8th, at 21.00.
