The Basilica di Massenzio in Rome hosts Letterature, an international literature festival that brings successful writers and their unpublished texts to the stage. Literature Festival will pass in May and June 2008.

Based on this year's theme, "near, far", each text is produced specifically for the festival and it is either read out to the public by its creator in original language or presented in a video format. Among the most awaited guests are Isabel Allende (Chile), Ismael Beah (Morocco) and Irish writers John Banville and Catherine Dunne. 

Festival opens at 9 pm. Entrance is free.
