May Day Music Festival


 On the 1-st of May Rome celebrates the arrival of spring with a gigantic and widely televised music festival in Piazza San Giovanni, which attracts musicians from all over the world.

The line-up is only released a few days before the event, but you can expect performances by the likes of Hard-Fi, Skin and Marlene Kuntz, who have all played in the past.

The festival was instituted in 1989 and has quickly become an important part of the Roman cultural calendar, as well as a major national and international event.

Festival begins at 2pm and ends at 11pm. Entrance is free.
