House Of Emperor Augustus

The House of Emperor Augustus is opened on one of the Roman hills, the Palatine, after a long-term restoration. The construction, found by the archeologists in the 1960s, has been thoroughly restored for decades. Now everyone can see the interiors of the palace.
The House is supposed to have been built in 36 B.C. There are four rooms: a dining room, a living room, a sleeping room and a study. The rooms are small, intercommunicating, and are void of windows. The light comes through the door, which leads to the garden. With the opening of the House, the entrance to the Roman Forum became paid. The ticket costs EUR 11, and lets the curious tourists see round the Forum as well as the Colosseum and the Palatine Hill.
