Only few days remain till the end of the traditional sales season in Italy. It usually lasts from the beginning of July up to the middle of September and from the Christmas to the beginning of March. In this period the best Italian designers as well as less famous ones considerably reduce the prices for their goods. Special signs indicate the sales: "Liquidazioni"("liquidation") standing for the total sale and "Vendite promozionali" ("advertising prices") or "Sconti" ("discounts"), which mean discounts. Be careful with "Entrata libera" signboard - it doesn't imply a sale, it just invites you to come into the shop and can be translated as "drop in for no particular reason".
Have a nice shopping!
