Atelier Van Lieshout is a famous workshop situated in Rotterdam. Artworks and many other products begin their lives in the concrete building (which by itself is an industrial monument) before they are sent to different parts of the world. There are twenty people working in the warehouse. All of them have different education and background as well as personal preferences. That results in the most original, eclectic and even weird works. One of the best-known creations of the AVL is the Wellness Scull - a great white scull that serves as a recreation centre.
From 26 May 2007 to 31 December 2008 the visitors of the Marco Hall have a chance to admire a contemporary masterpiece by the Atelier Van Lieshout. This is a big machine for recycling organic material. Come and see this combination of practicalness and design!
