Exhibition Of Paul Gauguin’s Works

Paul Gaugin (born Eugene Henri Paul Gauguin) is a recognized French painter. He is famous both by his artworks (made in styles varying from Impressionism and Cloissonism to Primitivism and Post-Impressionism) and a scandalous life.
He began to paint at the mature age. When he was 37 he left his family and went to Paris to live a life of an artist. Six years later he got disappointed in the European civilization and left France for Tahiti. Then he moved to the Marquesas Islands where he died at the age of 54.
From 5 October 2007 to 2 February 2008 Rome is hosting an exhibition of the works of the great painter. Over 150 items including oil paintings, drawings, sculptures and ceramic pieces are on display. Don't miss the exhibition!
