Giuseppe Garibaldi is the national Italian hero. He was a soldier-patriot who ardently struggled for the unification of the country. He was the leader of many successful military campaigns that considerably added to the consolidation of the nation.
Complesso del Vittoriano is hosting an exhibition devised under the High Patronage of the President of the Italian Republic, which is dedicated to the great Italian man.
Oils, drawings, etchings, original prints, period documents and daguerreotypes are on display from 31 October 2007 to 6 January 2008.
