Giffoni Film Festival presented in Grand Hotel Flora
June 1st Grand Hotel Flora's roof garden hosted the conference dedicated to the 39th edition of Giffoni Film Festival which will take place July 12 - 25 in Giffoni Valle Piana (Salerno). The event was first organised in 1971. Its concept belonged to Claudio Gubitosi and its aim was to promote cinema among young people. This year the festival's name Giffoni Film Festival will be replaced with another brand Giffoni Experience to emphasise the idea that its is not just a festival, but the whole unforgettable experience. The event is popular with the audience not only for the high quality of the participating films, but also for its high social value. This year its main theme is Taboo.

Barolo & Barbaresco Festival at Marriott Grand Flora
June 4th at 16.30 Marriott Grand Hotel Flora hosted the Barolo & Barbaresco Festival which, as the name suggests, was dedicated to Barolo and Barbaresco wine. The two red wines are produced of the nebbiolo grape in Piedmond, Italy. The festival visitors could check the rich flavor of Barolo in contrast to the elegant Barbaresco wine.
Traveller Emotions at Marriott Grand Hotel Flora
Traveller Emotions exhibition, which opens at Marriott Grand Hotel Flora on Via Veneto April 20th, shows reality as it is through the eyes of travelers and photographers. Seven artists will demonstrate the faces and landscapes of their countries - a traveler experience filled with spiritualty and emotions. These artists are: Lorenzo Bianda (Switzerland), Yayoi Arimoto (Japan), Mariano Aparicjo (Mexico), Dafna Tal (Israel), Nevio Doz (Croatia), Vilnis Vitolins (Latvia) and Fabrizio Gandini (Italy). The exhibition is organised in collaboration with the embassies and Tourism Authorities of the countries the photographers come from.
