Happy 200th birthday Hotel de la Minerve!

2010 is a special year for Hotel de la Minerve, the number one destionation for art connoisseurs. This year the hotel celebrates its 200th anniversary!

The hotel was originally build as a palace for an aristocratic family in the 17th century and now, years and years after, is one fo the main attractions of the Italian capital. The grand celebration will take place July 13th - 20th and will be supported by an interesting exhibition "The Treasures of Piazza della Minerva" dedicated to the transformations the hotel and the palace had.

Another great exhibition to visit is "Sources" displaying the ancient remains found under the hotel, two copies of old engravings depicting the Piazza etc.
