Former home to the Norwegian-born sculptor, painter and urban-planner Hendrik Christian Andersen, Casa Andersen (Andersen House) hosts an exhibition of works by the artist. The exhibition is entitled «Andersen House: characters and figures. Paintings and drawings from the collections of the Museum» and is available until September 30, 2008. More than 50 works, selected from the legacy of Andersen are focused one one theme: portrait.

Casa Andersen is located at Via Pasquale Stanislao Mancini, 20 (piazzale Flaminio). The museum contains more than two hundred sculptures of various scales, over two hundred paintings and three hundred graphic works by Hendrik Andersen and other contemporary artists and photographers.

A group of Russian artists called "AES+F" is running an exhibition at the MACRO FUTURE center. The main theme of the display is a fantastical and surreal world of childhood and adolescence. The heroes are good-looking but their beauty lacks emotions. The artists are in the search for perfection, appealing to the models of advertising posters, photos appearing in mass media and video games.
The large collection on display includes photos, videos and sculptors created by the Russian artists during the last decades. It was already exhibited at 52nd Venice Biennale.

The Roma Independent Film Festival (RIFF) is Rome 's first independent and international film festival. Its aim is to unite enthusiasm for films and filmmaking among young filmmakers with the realities of film production and distribution. The association aims to create better international distribution opportunities for independent films excluded from the major distributors; to establish a contact between new or underrepresented European filmmakers and industry professionals; to provide a platform for young people with a passion for filmmaking, to inspire and help them communicate issues effectively; to stimulate discussion among audience members and fellow filmmakers alike.
This year more than 60 movies from different corners of the globe will be shown in Rome theatres and cinemas. At the end of the festival special prizes (including the Luce Award, offering the winning production the opportunity to have theatre distribution, and the New Vision award, granted to the most talented emerging director) will be awarded by the respectable members of the jury. Golf is one of the most popular elite sports. The origins of golf are still unknown, being prescribed to China, Scotland and Holland. The rules of this old game remained practically unchanged: the aim of the player is to hit a ball into each hole on the golf course with as little number of strokes as possible.

   Don't you think that cuisine is art? Well some people do. New York photographer Barry Michlin for example. The celebrated American presents his exhibition "'Le Tavole del Gusto" at Meating (Piramide). The visitors have a chance to admire more than thirty images of "beautiful gastronomic explosions". The event promises to be really interesting and worth visiting as Academy Award Winner of food photography has an original, surreal look at the international cuisine, managing to capture the poetry of the table.
   Art gourmets as well as just epicures should not miss the exhibition that will be run at Meating from 12 November to 1 February.
